Biography
Quan Liu recieved his Master's and Bachelor's degree from School of Computer Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021 and 2024, respectively. He was supervised by Professor Hongzi Zhu during Master study. He is now pursuing a Ph.D. degree at Nanyang Technological University, supervised by Professor Shijian Lu. He is excited about 3D Computer Vision techniques, and want to explore how visual AI could be forged into better autonomous driving systems that roam future roads. His current research interest mainly lies in point cloud backbone and foundation models, registration and BEV perception. My research interest during master's study mainly lies in 3D Computer Vision and Point Cloud Processing. I was dedicated to Point Cloud Registration (PCR) on Heterogeneous Point Clouds, i.e. registering point clouds sampled from different moving vehicles on the road, with dynamic point of view, variable point density and low overlap ratio between point clouds. The problem of Heterogeneous Point Cloud can potentially be a fundamental building block in autonomous driving.
